Janice Johnson Obituary

Janice (Jane) Adelle Johnson, 76, of Lake City, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday Dec. 26, 2017, at The Bluffs of Lake City.
    Jane was born on Sept. 12, 1941 to Rudolph and Anna Johnson of Cannon Falls. She graduated from Cannon Falls High School in 1959. After high school, she worked for First National Bank in Cannon Falls until she married Robert M. Johnson on Dec. 11, 1971. They lived in rural Lake City where Robert farmed until his death in 2010. Jane worked at Alliance Bank in Lake City for about 32 years as a proof operator. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Lake City.  She was grateful to be a two-time cancer survivor. She enjoyed music, dancing, playing cards, cooking large meals, and spending time with friends and family, especially her three grandchildren.  Jane lived at home in rural Lake City until she moved to Deer Crest in Red Wing in 2012. She later moved to The Bluffs of Lake City in 2015.
    Jane is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (David) Harvey of Lake City; three grandchildren, Linnea, Levi, and Lacey Harvey; brother, Curt (Marie) Johnson; sister-in-law, Marilyn (Joe) Anderson; brother-in-law, Rich Okoneski; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, twin sister, Judy Kelm, brother-in-law, Bill Kelm, sister-in-law, Kathi Okoneski and brother-in-law, Gene Gustafson.
    A funeral service will be held Friday, Dec. 29 at 11 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Lake City with the Rev. Tim Ehling officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Lake City. Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 28, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel in Lake City. Friends may also call one hour before the services at the church on Friday. Online condolences may be left at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com.
    Memorials are preferred to the First Lutheran Building Fund and the American Cancer Society.
