Lila Pickett obituary

Lila Pickett passed away on February 27, 2022 at the Lake City Care Center, a week before her 97th birthday.    
    Lila was born on March 8, 1925 to John and Elizabeth (Peiffer) Strickland in Zumbro Falls, Minn. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1943 and was head drum majorette and soloist throughout high school and her adult life. She married Gerald Pickett on May 10, 1946 in Lake City.
    Lila is survived by daughters, Kathy (Richard) Holst of Lake City, Lory Christensen of Rochester, Minn.; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gerald, three brothers and three sisters.
    A private graveside service was held at the Lakewood Cemetery in Lake City.
