Lorraine Vosler Obituary

The funeral service for Lorraine “Jackie” Vosler will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 13, at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Lake City Chapel, with Bill Wohlers officiating.  Burial will follow at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Lake City.
    Lorraine Luella Vosler, 90, of Rochester, and formerly of Lake City, passed away Monday, Sept. 10, 2018 at the Willows and Waters Senior Living in Rochester.  She was born Aug. 12, 1928 in Potsdam to Alvin and Edna (Carsten) Adler.  She attended school in Plainview.  On Dec. 27, 1946 she married Joseph Sommers in Millville, he passed away Oct. 25, 1966.  In July 1968 she married Dale Vosler in Lake City, and he passed away Oct. 22, 2009.
    Jackie lived in Lake City for many years, moving to Rochester in 2010.  She loved to do jigsaw puzzles, play bingo, and go to the casino.  She also enjoyed spending time bird watching.  Jackie was a 30 year member of the Lake City VFW Auxiliary.
    Jackie is survived by her children, Jim Sommers, Dianne (Dan) Fitch, and Susan Stensrud, all of Rochester, and Linda (Dennis) Bartel of Lewisville, Texas; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, three sisters, LaDonna, Delores, and Jean, two brothers, Marlin and Dallas, son-in-law, Phil Stensrud and a great-grandson, Cal Fitch.
    Friends and family may visit one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday.
