Marilyn Klindworth Obituary

    The funeral service for Marilyn Klindworth was Saturday, Aug. 15, at Trinity Lutheran Church – Lincoln in rural, Lake City with Pastor Dan Reich officiating.  Burial was in Lincoln Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
    Mrs. Klindworth, 89, of Plainview, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015 at her home at Green Prairie Place in Plainview.
    Marilyn Margaret Sprick was born Oct. 24, 1925 in Mount Pleasant Township, Wabasha County, to Raymond and Laura (Leiter) Sprick.  She attended Wabasha County rural schools and graduated in 1943 from Lincoln High School in Lake City.  On Nov. 17, 1945 she married Wilburt Klindworth at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lake City.
    The Klindworth’s farmed in Gillford Township in Wabasha County.  Marilyn also worked as a waitress at the Armory in Red Wing, Anchor Inn and at Pepin Inn in Lake City, and at Sandy Point Supper Club.  She was also employed at Green Prairie Place in Plainview.
    Marilyn is survived by her six children, Richard (Sandy) Klindworth of La Crosse, Ralph (Sandy) Klindworth of Des Moines, Rosalyn (James “Jay”) Cross of Winneconne, Wis. Rodney “Ron” Klindworth of Northfield, Rollie (Dorie) Klindworth of Lake City, and Rick (Shannon) Klindworth of Plainview; 26 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Frederick “Fritz” (Alice) Sprick of Lake City.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband on Dec. 23, 2003, two brothers, one sister, and one great-granddaughter.
