Mary King Obituary

A Celebration of Life will be held for Mary King on Sunday, Jan. 20, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Lake City Chapel.
    Mary Elizabeth King, 64, of Lake City, passed away at her home in Lake City on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019.          She was born March 25, 1954 in Lake City to Walter and Delores (Brucehaver) Nibbe.  She attended school at St. John’s Lutheran School and graduated from Lincoln High School.  On Oct. 23, 1993 she married William V. King at First Lutheran Church in Lake City.
    Mary lived her entire lifetime in Lake City.  She was formerly employed at Rivera Cabinets, Heat ‘N Glo, Ace Hardware, and US Gas in Lake City.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, everyone loved Aunt Mary.  Mary was a former member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lake City.
    Mary is survived by her husband, William “Bill” King of Lake City; children, Angela Krohn of Plainview and Christopher (Lisa) King of Stewartville; three grandchildren, Sebastian DeFrang, Wyatt Krohn and Kingzie King; siblings, Sue (Jerry) Shones of Millville, Connie (Tom) Demes of Naples, Fla., Vicki Smith of Rochester, Tom Nibbe of Lake City, Gayle Gordon of Rochester, and Barbara Pridemore of Mexia, Texas; and many nieces, nephews, greats and great-great-nephew.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and grandparents.
