Patricia Blattner obituary

Patricia “Pat” Ann Blattner, 78, of Lake City, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born March 16, 1946, in Melvina, Wis. to Walter and Rosalia (Shea) Ziebell. Pat attended elementary school in Rochester and graduated from Plainview High School in 1964. On April 16, 1966, she married the love of her life, Melvin Blattner in Plainview.
Pat was a beautician and started her working career at Polly’s Beauty Shop in Plainview for two years. The Blattner’s then moved to Lake City in 1967, and Pat began working at Vanity Fair in Lake City for many years, and then at Hilltop Beauty Shop for a few years. Pat then opened her own salon, Beachcomber, and operated that for 20 years. Then Pat went to Sunrise Cottage in Rochester where she worked for five years, and then returned to Lake City and worked at Jean’s Wave and Curl for a few years and then at Total Look in Lake City until she retired in 2017.
Pat was an avid bowler and competed in many tournaments. She enjoyed going to Treasure Island, cooking for her family and most of all her pride and joy were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved going to their sporting events, school programs, dance recitals and having sleepovers at Grandma’s. Her family was everything to her and she was very proud of each and every one of them and loved them with all her heart. Pat was a loving wife, wonderful mom and sweetest grandma/great grandma. She will be loved and missed forever.
Pat was a member of the Lake City American Legion Auxiliary for over 50 years, and a member of Redeeming Grace Community Church in Lake City.
Pat is survived by her husband, Melvin Blattner of Lake City, a daughter, Amy (Ronnie) Fick of Lake City, a son, Darian (Jane) Blattner of New Richmond, Wis.; six grandchildren, Joey, Kyle, Libby, Tyler, Jaxen, and Andrew;  three great-grandchildren, Ava, Leo, and Halie; a sister, Jan (Ronald) Ohm-Carlson of Plainview; sister-in-law, Deanna Sawyer, of Plainview; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Richard Sawyer, and a sister, Kathy Steffen.
