Peter Bendickson obituary

Peter was born October 23, 1980 in Mankato, Minnesota. He grew up in Lake City, Minnesota where he enjoyed playing football and baseball during high school. His favorite school opportunity was the class he took to help build a house for a local family in need. He graduated high school in 1999 and then pursued a certificate in construction from Rochester Tech. He enjoyed several jobs through his life, especially making pizzas at Papa T’s and working construction for many years with Morton Buildings. Peter was a member of Decorah Lutheran Church where he served as an usher. Too soon, Peter was called to his heavenly home on October 25, 2024.
Peter loved being with family, building things, helping others, and cheering on all Minnesota sports teams, especially the Twins and the Vikings. He is survived and will be missed by his parents, Ross and Sandy; his brother Dave, sister-in-law Ginny, niece and nephew, Emma and Tyler; his son Teddy; along with his aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
A visitation will take place from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. with a memorial service at 11 a.m. on November, 23, 2024 at First Lutheran Church in Lake City.
Please send condolences or memorials to First Lutheran Church, (100 Peace Ridge, Lake City, MN 55041), or Decorah Lutheran (309 Winnebago St., Decorah, IA 52101).
