Phyllis Anthony Obituary

Phyllis Ann Anthony, 89, of Lake City, passed away Friday, Aug. 24, 2018 at her home.
    She was born on Oct. 31, 1928 to Roy and Grace (Groves) Brundage in Lehigh, Iowa. Phyllis graduated from Lehigh High School. Phyllis married Ernest (Tony) Anthony Dec. 5, 1948 in Lehigh.  After many years of living in Lehigh they moved to Austin, Minn. until 1998 and then made their home in Lake City. She worked at the L and L Café, ran the gas station and laundromat with Tony and retired from Webster City Products (Electrolux) in Webster City, Iowa. Over the years she enjoyed time spent at the race track, camping, attending craft sales, playing Bingo, and most of all spending time with family and friends.
    Phyllis is survived by her husband, Ernest (Tony) Anthony of Lake City; children, Michael Shawn (Becky) Anthony of Des Moines, Iowa and Kimberly Shane (Mike) Liljevall of Lake City; five grandchildren, Zac Anthony, Reagon (Spencer) Worthington, Brad (Jamie) Anthony, Sarah (Mike) Burbach and Indy (Brittany) Liljevall; four great-grandchildren, Maddy Anthony, Anthony Burbach, Mitchell and Zoey Liljevall; one brother, Jim (Joan) Brundage; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Marcus, mother and father and two sisters, Garnet (Lavern) Hansen and Betty (Bud) Brueland.
