Prescott, Angeline obituary
Angeline “Angie” Matilda Prescott was born December 12, 1926 in Chicago, Ill., to Frank and Matilda Berndt. She went peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the age of 98.
Angie grew up in Rochester, Minn. and graduated in 1944. She then moved to Washington D.C. to work for the Army Intelligence. While in Washington D.C. she met Leonard P. Prescott, and they were married in 1952. This marriage was blessed with three daughters, Cynthia, Sandra, and Katherine. Angie was a homemaker and later worked to provide for her family.
Angie was a lifetime member of VFW and enjoyed working on family genealogy, fishing, playing bingo, Nascar racing, and going to the casino. Angie especially treasured time spent with family and friends, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Angie had a beautiful, kind, generous heart and a soul full of graciousness, living each moment to the fullest, she will be dearly missed by all those who loved her.
Angie is survived by daughter, Cynthia (Prescott) Weinrich of Lake City, Minn.; grandchildren - Kaleb Weinrich (Tina Johnson), Jordan Weinrich, Sara Hayden (Mac Stevens), Shannon (Curt) Brehmer, Cody Sullivan, Patrick Sullivan, and Jesse Hinck; great-grandchildren- Kylie and Ellie Brehmer, Eliza Stevens, Tavian and Wyatt Weinrich; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by daughters, Sandra (Prescott) Fitzgerald, Katherine (Prescott) Hinck; parents, Frank and Matilda Berndt; sisters Ruth Kirkham, Mary Lou Radil, Belva Berndt; and brother Frank Berndt Jr.
Angie requested to donate her body to Mayo Clinic for research and education. There will be a celebration of life at the VFW, Lake City, Minn. on Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
