Raymond Langdon Obituary

Raymond F. Langdon, 84, of Lake City, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Mayo Clinic Health System - Lake City Care Center.
    He was born Oct. 2, 1931 to Robert and Doroth (Archambault) Langdon and grew up in Northfield and Faribault, Minn.  
    Raymond entered the Navy in 1951 and was on active duty until 1955.  He then was a member of the reserves from 1955 to 1959.  On June 3, 1967, Raymond married Susan “Sandy” Weston in Rochester at St. Francis Catholic Church. After they were married, they moved to Lake City.
    Raymond worked at Di-Acro in Lake City as a computer operator for 17 years. He then worked for Mayo in Rochester until retiring in 1996.
    Raymond was a member of St. Mary’s of the Lake Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus and served on the City Council.  He loved to read, listen to music, fish and spend time with his family.
    Raymond is survived by his wife, Susan “Sandy” of Lake City; two daughters, Lee (Nate) Anderson of Lakeland, Minn. and Susan (Chris) Crosby of Shakopee, Minn.; four grandchildren, Aleshia Zimmerman, Elizabeth Zimmerman; Caleb Crosby and Jacob Crosby; two brothers, Thomas (Cathy) Langdon of North Mankato, Minn. and Archie (Carol) Langdon of Rochester; four sisters, Mary Williams of Rochester, Sharon Lynch, of New Prague, Minn., Toni (Michael) Sinnott of San Diego, Calif. and Cathy (Thomas) Grannis of Zumbrota. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Leslie Langdon; and one brother, Dennis Langdon.
    A Mass of Christian Burial was Thursday, March 10 at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake City with Fr. Joseph Pete officiating. Burial was at the St. Mary’s Cemetery.  Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel in Lake City is in charge of arrangements.
