Robert Brown obituary

Robert (Bob) Milo Brown died Sunday, August 16, 2020 with family by his side at St. Elizabeth Health Care Center in Wabasha, Minn. He was born November 16, 1932 in Pope County, Minn. to James and Inga (Teigen) Brown, one of 15 children.
Bob was drafted into the Army in 1953 where he was a military policeman, stationed in Germany and Washington, D.C. On March 3, 1956 he married the love of his life, Blanche “Muggs” Irene Gilbert in Minneapolis. They made their home in Inver Grove Heights where he worked for Swift and Company in South St. Paul before moving to Lake City where he worked at Federal Mogul. After that he and his son Mike ran “Brown’s Tree Service” until his retirement.
Bob enjoyed many outdoor activities including fishing, trapping gophers for area farmers, small game hunting, but his favorite was deer hunting with his family and friends. Bob was a “master” rifle cartridge reloader, and kept his family and friends well stocked with ammunition.
He is survived by his wife Blanche; sons Robert (Corrine) and Michael (Lisa); daughter Cindy (Matt) Brown; grandsons Ryan Dwelle, Justin Brown, David Brown, John Brown, Joshua Brown; granddaughters Lauren Brown and Jenna Brown; brothers Gilman, Richard, Donald, Ronald, Alan; sister Joyce and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son John; brothers Ray, Harley, Jerome, Gary, Bruce; sisters Doris, Doreen, and Donna.
Robert has designated that upon his death his body would be donated to the Mayo Clinic for educational purposes. Due to this and COVID-l9 restrictions there will be no services at this time.
