Roger Nye Obituary

Roger K. Nye, 58, of Lake City, passed away, Dec. 29, 2015. Roger was born and raised in San Diego, Calif. and moved to Lake City in 1990, where he and his wife of 32 years, raised their children. He proudly worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 34 years, retiring in July 2015.
    He was a loving husband, father and friend, always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. He battled cancer for the last two years of his life with courage and faith in God. He will be missed by so many that knew and loved him.
    He is survived by his wife, Jean; son, Landon (JoDee); daughters, Chantel and April; mother, Mildred; sister, Linda (Bruce) Cooper; brother, Russell (Rosa); as well as nieces, nephews, granddogs, many other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by father, Warren, and infant son, Bishop.
    Memorial services were held at Washburn-McReavy Eden Prairie Chapel, 7625 Mitchell Road, Eden Prairie, MN on Saturday, Jan. 9.  www.washburn-mcreavy.com.
