Ronald Fahnel obituary

    Ronald Fahnel, 79, of Lake City, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022 at the Lake City Care Center.
    Ronald was born on September 3, 1942 to Arne and Goldene (McQuistion) Fahnel in Durand, Wis. He grew up in the Nelson and Alma, Wis. area. After high school he joined the Army and was stationed in  Germany till his discharge in 1963. He married Monica Hersch in West Berlin, Germany in 1963. They lived in Frontenac for the past 60 years. He worked at DiAcro and then Federal-Mogul in Lake City until he retired in 2020. Ronald also had his own construction company for many years. Ronald enjoyed racing snowmobiles and doing tractor pulls at county fairs.
    Ronald is survived by his wife Monica of Frontenac; his son, Thomas Fahnel of Frontenac; two brothers, Gary (Eileen) Fahnel of Durand, Wis., Brian Fahnel of Durand, Wis.; sister, Kathy Fahnel of Mondovi, Wis.
    He is preceded by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
    A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson – Peterson Chapel in Lake City.
