Steven Glende obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Steven Roger Glende. Steven was born on December 16, 1969, and passed away on August 8, 2024, after a brief but courageous battle with AML.
Steven was the youngest child and only son of Roger and Dianne (McElmury) Glende. He grew up with his sisters and cousins in Winona and Lake City. Steven was a true and loyal friend to many throughout the years. He enjoyed fishing, tinkering with trucks and electronics, and spending time with his family.  
Steven married the love of his life, Joy Fernholz, on May 20, 2006. They made their home in Red Wing with their children.   
Steven will forever be loved and missed by his wife, Joy; children Christopher, Duane, and Marion (all at home); Brandon, and Donna; sisters, Karen (Chuck) Anderson and Penny (John) Kelly; cousins, John Glende and Joe Glende; step-mother, Selma Glende; step-father, Herb Bias; as well as other extended family and friends.
He was welcomed into Heaven by many loved ones including his parents, Roger Glende and Dianne Bias; uncle Mike Glende and aunt Ginny Glende; nephew Peter Kelly, grandparents, and many aunts and uncles.
A Celebration of Steven’s Life will be held at Hok-Si-La Park in Lake City on September 29, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family.
