Susan Patneaude obit

Susan Grace (Siewert) Patneaude of Nelson, Wisc. passed away peacefully on the morning of Dec. 8, 2020, at the Rochester, Minn. facility Mayo Health Systems, after a very short recurrence and aggressive third battle with cancer. Susan’s Christian Faith was strong and she was greeted in heaven by her brothers Fritz and Dwayne, her sister Liyla, mother Lois and father Ben, and two grandchildren Corrin and Ryan.
Born Nov. 11, 1957 in Lake City, Minn. to Benard (Ben) and Lois (Warren) Siewert. Married to Paul M. Patneaude for a lasting bond of almost 43 years. The years sure went by so fast and we had many many great, and some not so great, but very survivable years. Susan wanted me to tell those of the so many many good times that she enjoyed all of them, present and past events that she and I shared with all of you in our immediate family and our “circle” of friends. Also, Susan wanted it to be known to all and any out there - that any mishaps, arguments, feuds, and lost friendships - that she wishes the best for everyone, and to please accept the thought she wanted all to become comfortable that she ran out of time to reach out and make it a personally delivered happening. Yes, she will be missed by many.
Susan went to school in Zumbro Falls, and later went to the Lake City school system. She had many Vo-Tech and specific college certificates, and a few government regulated licenses. Susan worked many places in the Lake City  area, cooking, tree trimming, firewood sales, orchard work that entails a long list of duties from picking through packing and pressing cider, driving and operating the variety of equipment, supervising the variety of tasks needed. Susan had worked for the then Heat and Glow when the business came to the area, becoming a line leader among many other tasks. Susan worked at Federal-Mogul for a combined time of over 30 years, with a wide variety of duties there and finally after a battle with cancer she was forced to medically retire. (if there is such a thing she would say!) Susan always enjoyed her work, “ya when it went smooth”, she added. An avid fisherwoman, hunter, homemaker, gardener, and flower extravaganza expert, and euchre player, (yes, I did catch on to how the girls seemed to always win)!
Surviving family members are Susan’s sisters: Shirley (Eddie) Sanders, Jane (Rick) Dettmer; her sons Wade (Belinda) Siewert of Zumbro Falls, Minn, and Jan (Heather) Patneaude of Marrinette,  Wisc.; stepdaughters Sonnet (Steve) Lochen  of Hinkley Minn., and Elizabeth (Jeff) Bartosch of Medford, Minn. Many nieces and nephews, and grandchildren and regrets not spending more time with all of them.
Our loss of Susan will be hard to endure, but with each day, we can reflect on the good times, and not the bad or sick times that were shared with the wonderful family and friends. I will share this with all of you, after the passing, I held Susan close to me and asked for God to accept Susan into his arms, give her the well-deserved wings - and take her home with you Lord... amen.
Sincerely missing you Sue, your husband, family, and friends, Paul M Patenaude.
Due to Covid restrictions a Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring of 2021.
