Thomas Walker Obituary

Thomas Walker, 79, of Lake City,
passed away Monday, July 8, 2019 at the Cumberland Health Care Center in, Wisconsin.
    He was born to William and Hazel (Cramblit) Walker on May 10, 1940 in Eau Claire, Wis.
    Tom grew up in Eau Claire, Wis. and graduated from Eau Claire Memorial High School. After graduation he went to work for American Motors in Kenosha, Wis. Tom married Mary Jo Lauer on May 9, 1958. They were later divorced. He worked at Gould Inc. in Eau Claire and later moved to Lake City and worked for Federal-Mogul from 1971 until 2006 when he retired. Tom married Linda Wilcox on Dec. 26, 1995 in Stewartville, Minn. After retirement he worked for Frontenac Golf Course and did cleaning for the DNR for several years. Tom enjoyed feeding the birds, gardening and spending time with his family and loved to fish. Tom was able to give a last gift to someone in being an organ donor.
    He is survived by his wife, Linda; one daughter,  Lynda Walker of Chippewa Falls, Wis.; three step-children, Allen Erickson of Anchorage, Alaska, Jody Erickson of Jacksonville, Fla. and Jolene Erickson of Rochester; two grandchildren, Amber Adams and Megan Kolpien; six step-grandchildren, Ashlynne Spencer, Dallen Erickson, Kai Erickson, Annabelle Erickson, Joseph Erickson, and Isaac Erickson; four brothers, Bob (Arletta) Walker, Jim (Joan) Walker, Richard (Vicki) Walker and Gary (Mary) Walker; two sisters, Millie (Roger) Briettigon and Rosie (Denny) Pecore, all of Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ron Walker.
    A memorial service will be Friday, July 19, 11 a.m. at First Congregational Church in Lake City with Rev. David Badgley officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Funeral arrangements are by the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel in Lake City. Online condolences may be placed at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com.
