William Craddock obituary

William “Willie” Michael Craddock, 59, of Lake City, died Saturday, March 9, 2024 at his home.
He was born July 14, 1964 in Bremerton, Wash. to Ronald and Victoria (Walters) Craddock. He grew up in Crestline, Calif. and graduated from Rim of World High School in Lake Arrowhead, Calif., class of 1982. After graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Marines until his honorable discharge in 1986. He then moved to Lake City, Minn. to be closer to family. He worked for Capital Safety, now 3M, before moving on to the Family Dollar where he was the assistant manager at the time of his death.
Willie was a people person. It was in his nature to be outgoing and friendly with everyone he met. He loved with his whole heart and cherished his time with his family and friends, as well as his faith in God and his trust in Heaven. He enjoyed cheering on the Vikings and his favorite wrestlers in the WWE. He also enjoyed going to movies and listening to music, especially Stryper. Most of all he cherished his time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his parents, Ronald and Victoria of Winnsboro, Texas; siblings, Michelle (Jeffrey) Erickson of Stockholm, Wis., Ronda (John) Smyth of Longview, Texas, David (Idalia) Craddock of Idyllwild, Calif.; best friend, Nathan (Lisa) Anderson of Lake City; Goddaughter, Neveah Anderson; his long-time friend, Diann LaFond of Goodhue and her children and grandchildren; three nephews and three nieces; as well as aunts and uncles.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Gloria Walters; grandmother, Dorothy Kay; and aunt, Kathi Brady.
A visitation will be 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, March 23, 2024 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel, Red Wing. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com.
