City of Lake City - Board of Adjustment - Meier Companies

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the City of Lake City Board of Adjustment will meet at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 25th, 2024, in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 205 West Center Street, Lake City, Minnesota.  The Commission will consider a variance request submitted by Paul Meier, of Meier Companies Inc., 7247 County Rd. 3 SW, Byron, MN 55920, for the Aurora Condominium Project, to be located on the 300 Block of South Lakeshore Drive, on land legally described as, and including the following parcels of land:  
THE WESTERLY 41 FEET OF LOT 1 BLK 13; AND LOT 2, BOCK 13, AND THE EASTERLY 19 FEET OF LOT 1 BLK 13; AND THE NORTHWESTERLY 50 FEET OF LOT 3 BLK 13; AND LOT 8, BLOCK 13, AND THE NORTH WEST 50 FEET OF LOT 7 AND THE SOUTHWESTERLY 62.5 FEET OF LOT 9 BLK 13; AND THE REAR 20 FEET BY 60 FEET OF LOT 9 BLK 13; ALL OF THE ORIGINAL PLAT OF LAKE CITY, WABASHA COUNTY, MINNESOTA.  
The applicant is proposing to construct a four story, 26-unit, multifamily   building on the site that exceeds the Lake City Zoning Ordinance density requirements of the B1 Central Business district by 3 residential units.   Persons desiring to submit testimony on this matter may address the Board during the public hearing.  Additional information concerning this request is available at City Hall.
