ORDINANCE 626
CITY OF LAKE CITY,
MINNESOTA
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE
OF REAL PROPERTY
OWNED BY THE CITY
THE CITY OF LAKE CITY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1: THE CITY OF LAKE CITY UPHOLDS THE FOLLOWING AS TRUE AND CORRECT:    
    A. The City is the owner of real property legally described as follows:
    Lot 1, Block 1, Eaglewood Estates Seventh Addition, according to the recorded plat thereof, County of Wabasha, State of Minnesota
(the “Property”); and
    B. The City wishes to convey the Property to the adjacent property owners, Brian Quinn and Dawn Quinn (the “Quinns”), in exchange for the Quinns granting the City an easement over their property (described as Lot 5, Block 2, Eaglewood Estates Second Addition) so that the City may access the stormwater pond located on Outlot A, Eaglewood Estates Seventh Addition; and
    C. The Quinns are willing to grant the City an access easement over their property in exchange for the conveyance of the Property by the City.
SECTION 2: THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKE CITY, MINNESOTA MAKES THE FOLLOWING FINDINGS:
    A. An uncodified City ordinance is adopted pursuant to Chapter 12.05 of the City Charter to provide as follows:
    Subdivision 1. The City of Lake City owns a parcel of land in Wabasha County, Minnesota, the legal description of the parcel being as follows:
    Lot 1, Block 1, Eaglewood Estates Seventh Addition, according to the recorded plat thereof
(the “Property”)
    Subdivision 2.  On June 12, 2023, the City Council approved a preliminary and final plat to plat a portion of Outlot F, Eaglewood Estates Second Addition into Outlot A and Lot 1, Block 1, Eaglewood Estates Seventh Addition so that Lot 1, Block 1, Eaglewood Estates Seventh Addition could be conveyed by the City to Brian Quinn and Dawn Quinn (the “Quinns”).
    Subdivision 3.  As provided by Section 12.05 of the City Charter, the City Council authorizes conveyance of the Property to the Quinns, provided that the Quinns grant the City an easement over their property (Lot 5, Block 2, Eaglewood Estates Second Addition) so that the City may access the stormwater pond located on Outlot A, Eaglewood Estates Seventh Addition.
    Introduced by the Lake City City Council the 14th day of August, 2023.
    Adopted by the Lake City City Council the 11th day of September, 2023.
