CITY OF LAKE CITY,
MINNESOTA
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE VII – CHAPTER 72
PARKING REGULATIONS
OF THE CITY CODE
THE CITY OF LAKE CITY ORDAINS:
§ 72.99  PENALTY.
(A) Penalties. Any person, firm, or corporation violating any provision of this Chapter shall be guilty of a petty misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by fines not to exceed the amount set forth in Minnesota Statutes Section 609.02, subdivision 4a, as it may be amended from time to time. Any person, firm, or corporation violating this Chapter and issued a citation may either pay the citation amount by inserting cash into the envelope provided with the parking violation ticket and depositing it in a traffic violation fee box or by paying the amount at the Police Department. The citation amounts are as follows:
(1) Handicap parking: the amount set forth in the City’s fee schedule;
(2) Winter parking: the amount set forth in the City’s fee schedule;
(3) Two-hour parking: the amount set forth in the City’s fee schedule; and
(4) All other parking violations: the amount set forth in the City’s fee schedule.
(B) Police authority.  Nothing herein shall be deemed to waive the other penalties provided by this Code or Chapter, including, but not limited to the authority herein granted under Section 72.06.
Section 2.  This ordinance shall take effect after its passage and publication in accordance with Section 3.09 of the Lake City Charter.
