CITY OF LAKE CITY,
MINNESOTA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION OF
ORDINANCE NO. 651
BY TITLE AND SUMMARY
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lake City has adopted Ordinance No. 651, titled “An Ordinance Amending Chapter 151 of the City Code Relating to Flood Plain Management” and
WHEREAS, the City Charter allows publication by title and summary in the case of lengthy ordinances; and
WHEREAS, the Ordinance is forty-four pages in length; and
WHEREAS, the City Council believes that the following summary will clearly inform the public of the intent and effect of the Ordinance; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY the City of Lake City City Council, that the following summary is hereby approved for publication:
SUMMARY PUBLICATION
ORDINANCE NO. 651
The City of Lake City City Council has adopted Ordinance No. 651, titled “An Ordinance Amending Chapter 151 of the City Code Relating to Flood Plain Management.” The Ordinance is housekeeping in nature bringing the floodplain regulations into conformance with the Department of Natural Resources model ordinance and incorporating required floodplain management standards.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Lake City City Council:
1. The City Clerk is directed to publish this summary in lieu of publication of the entire ordinance.
2. The City Clerk is directed to post a copy of the entire text of Ordinance No. 651 at City Hall, the City of Lake City Public Library, and on the City of Lake City website for a period of not less than 10 days. In addition, a printed copy of Ordinance No. 651 is available for inspection by any person during regular office hours at the Lake City City Hall.
