FLORENCE TOWNSHIP NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
    YOU WILL PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Florence Township Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at the Florence Township Hall, 33915 US-61, Frontenac, MN 55026, on Monday, April 13, at 6:00 p.m., to consider the following public hearing(s):

    An application request relating to the rezoning of the parcel from A-1 Ag Protection Zone to CR Commercial Recreational district.  The property’s historical and proposed use is non-conforming with the current zoning classification A-1. By rezoning to CR, the use of the property will conform with local zoning regulations and remove non-conformity.

    An application has been submitted for a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) to allow a Rural Tourism venue for the operation of a place of public assembly/event venue on property zoned A-2 Agricultural. The proposed use includes the utilization of an existing agricultural building (barn) and associated areas for events such as weddings, conferences, and community gatherings. The application indicates a maximum occupancy of up to 299 persons, with associated on-site parking, lighting, and site improvements.
