SUMMARY OF SCHOOL BOARD MEETING MINUTES

The School Board of ISD #813 met in regular session on April 20, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in the Lincoln Media Center. Complete minutes are on file in the Superintendent’s Office, 300 S. Garden St., Lake City, MN 55041 or at www.lake-city.k12.mn.us. 7 board members and 11 community members were present.
1. Adopt agenda (mcu).
2. Board Member Minute given by each board member.
3. Kim Bobb gave a presentation on Multilingual Learner teacher roles.
4. Thad Dahling of ISG and Jason Peterson of Knudson Construction gave a Facilities Assessment presentation.
5. Principal Berge gave the High School report.  
6. Principal Aeschlimann gave the Bluff View report.
7. Dir. Kvasnicka gave the Comm Ed report.
8. Supt. Wright gave her report.
9. Board members gave reports on recent school visits.
10. Board members gave reports on recent committee meetings.
11. Awards Night - Wednesday May 13, 2026 at 7:30 p.m. in the Lincoln High School Auditorium.
12. May 18, 2026 - next regular Board meeting at 7:00 p.m.
13. Commencement - Sunday, June 7, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.
14. Adopted consent agenda (mcu).
15. Approved the following policies: 410, 503, 515, 530, 701 (mcu).
16. First reading of policy 615.
17. Approved the review of policies 701.1, 702, 705, 706, 710, 711 (mcu).
18. Approved the resolution for donations and gifts (mcu).
19. Approved the Head Start lease agreement (mcu).
20. Approved the resolution authorizing entry into joint powers agreement in the form of a declaration of trust establishing the MN Trust (mcu).
21. Approved the appointment of Member Siewert and Member Laqua as representatives of the board to hear the Level III Grievance submitted by the Lake City Education Association (mcu).
22. A motion was made to adjourn the meeting at 9:02 p.m. (mcu).
