REGULAR MEETING
SUMMARY OF SCHOOL BOARD MEETING MINUTES

The School Board of ISD #813 met in regular session on August 17, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in the Lincoln High School Media Center. Complete minutes are on file in the Superintendent’s Office, 300 S. Garden St., Lake City, MN 55041 or available at www.lake-city.k12.mn.us. 6 board members and 14 community members were present.
1. Adopt the agenda (mcu).
2. Board Member Minute given by each board member.
3. A thank-you was read.
4. Bonding presentation by Ehlers Companies.
5. Principal Berge gave the High School report.
6. Principal Aeschlimann gave the Bluff View report.
7. Dir. Kvasnicka gave the Comm Ed report.
8. Superintendent Wright gave her report.
9. Board members gave reports on recent committee meetings.
10. Lincoln High School - 7th & 9th Grade Student Orientation -  August 19, 2026.
11. Solar Project Ribbon Cutting- August 21, 2026.
12. September 21, 2026 - next regular Board meeting at 7:00 p.m.
13. All Staff Workshop Days -  August 24-26, 2026.
14. Meet the Teacher - Bluff View Elementary - September 1 & 2, 2026.
15. First Day of School September 1 & 3, 2026.
16. School Board Meeting September 21, 2026.
17. Adopted consent agenda (mcu).
18. First Reading of Policies 402, 423, 509, 521, 524, 709, 722.
19. Approved the review of policies 305, 410, 506, 524, 722 (mcu).
20. Approved the group dental insurance renewal (mcu).
21. Approved the Lake City School District 813 restrictive procedures plan (mcu).
22. Approved the food service renewal plan (mcu).
23. Approve the resolution stating the intention of the school board to issue general obligation facilities maintenance bonds (mcu).
24. Approve the resolution providing for a public hearing to consider granting a proposed property tax abatement (passed with a 4-2 vote).
25. Approve the amended mde FY 2028 long term facilities maintenance revenue expenditure for Lake City Public School District as presented and amended by MDE (mcu).
26. Approve and authorize to proceed with the football complex improvement project (mcu).
27. Approved the resolution for donations & gifts (mcu).
28. Approve closed session for superintendent annual evaluation (mcu).  
29. Approve coming out of closed session (mcu)
30. A motion was made to adjourn the meeting at 7:20 p.m. (mcu).
