Important Information Regarding Assessment and Classification of Property. This may affect your 2027 property taxes.OPEN BOOK APPEAL – NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Appeal and Equalization for Lake Township will be open at the Wabasha County Courthouse from April 6, 2026 to May 29, 2026 – Contact the Assessor’s Office for an Appointment Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. - Phone: 651-565-3669 or email: LBAE@co.waba sha.mn.us. The purpose of this meeting is to determine whether taxable property in the jurisdiction has been properly valued and classified by the assessor, and to determine whether corrections need to be made. If you believe the value or classification of your property is incorrect, please contact your assessor’s office to discuss your concerns. If you are still not satisfied with the valuation or classification after discussing it with your assessor, you may appear before the local board of appeal and equalization. The board shall review the valuation, classification, or both if necessary, and shall correct it as needed.  Generally, an appearance before your local board of appeal and equalization is required by law before an appeal can be taken to the county board of appeal and equalization. Notice to all Lake Township Residents: The April monthly meeting of the Lake Township Board will be changed from April 21, 2026 to April 23, 2026 and will start at 8:00 p.m. The regularly scheduled meetings will return to the third Tuesday of every month in May, 2026 unless otherwise advertised. LAKE TOWNSHIP BOARD will receive quotes for blading roads, snow plowing, sanding roads, mowing road ditches, and general road repair.  Separate quotes will be received for class 5 crushed rock to be delivered on roads in the Township. There is approximately 22 miles of road. In 2025 Lake Township used approximate 9,953 tons of crushed rock.  Please quote class 5 crushed rock by the ton. All quotes must be delivered to the Lake Town Hall and in the hands of the Town Clerk at 8:00 p.m. on April 23rd, 2026. Quotes will also be accepted by the Town Clerk before April 23rd, 2026, at her home.  The quotes accepted must furnish certificates of workman’s compensation and liability insurance.  The Town Board reserves the right to reject any or all quotes.  The Board will meet at the Lake Township Hall, 30271 690th Street, Lake City, MN at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 23rd, 2026 to open the quotes. NOTICE: Florence Township is accepting applications for a vacant seat on its Park Commission. This volunteer position involves a 3-year commitment, starting June 2, 2026, with an option for an additional 3 years. Meetings are held at 6 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month at the Florence Town Hall in Frontenac Station. The Park Commission’s mission is to preserve, manage, maintain, utilize and protect the parks and public spaces of Florence Township: Wakondiota, Valhalla, Steamboat Landing, Frontenac Cove, the Frontenac Station playground, and the Sportsman’s Club/Community Center in Frontenac Station. A written application outlining interests and any pertinent skills or experiences should be mailed to Pamela Miller, Florence Township clerk, P.O. Box 97, Frontenac, MN 55026.

NOTICE: Zumbro Township: Zumbro Township will be accepting quotes for the following: snow plowing, road blading, rocking for icy roads and general maintenance of approximately 29.08 miles of roads for 2026.  Also accepting quotes for: Class 2 crushed rock delivered and truck spread, mowing, brush cutting and tree trimming.  A certificate of insurance must accompany all quotes.  Quotes will only be accepted by mail or email and can be mailed to: Zumbro Township Clerk, 40566 Ryans Bay Rd, Zumbro Falls, MN 55991 or zumbrotwpclerk@gmail.com.  Quotes and proof of insurance are due in the clerk’s office by April 13th, 2026.  The Zumbro Township Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all quotes.  Marcia Dworschak, Clerk.

NOTICE: A public hearing to solicit comments on a proposed amendment to the Florence Township Zoning Ordinance will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, April 13, 2026, during the regular meeting of the township’s Planning Commission at the Florence Town Hall in Frontenac Station. The amendment regulates and controls the demolition of structures within the township. A copy of the proposed amendment is available for inspection at florencetwpmn.gov.
