Wabasha County Board of Adjustment - Jan. 14, 2025 Meeting

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
BEFORE THE
WABASHA COUNTY
BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
The Wabasha County Board of Adjustment will conduct public hearings starting at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 14th, 2025 for the purpose of hearing evidence regarding the following requests:
1) Public hearing on the application submitted by James Newman requesting a variance from Chapter 4.06 (1) of the Wabasha County Zoning Ordinance to allow an accessory structure to be within 10 feet of a property line on Wabasha County Parcel R15.00197.00 and to allow a dwelling to be within 15 feet from a property line on Wabasha County parcel R15.00197.03. The subject properties are are located in Section 23, Township 109 North, Range 10 West, of Watopa Township (58515 155th Ave, Kellogg and 58512 155th Ave, Kellogg).
2) Public Hearing for the application submitted by Brent Beck requesting an appeal of the order, requirement, decision and determination of the Wabasha Zoning Administrator regarding a dwelling density transfer. The subject property is described as parcel R16.00250.06, located in Section 31, Township 110, Range 12, in West Albany Township.
3) Public hearing on the application submitted by Robert Hovda requesting a variance from Chapter 7.06 (2) of the Wabasha County Zoning Ordinance for the setback of an accessory structure from a property line and a variance from Minnesota Rule 7080.2150 subp. 2 (F) to allow a structure within the 20 foot setback of a septic absorption area. The subject property is described as Wabasha County Parcel R05.00964.00 and is located in Section 2, Township 110 North, Range 10 West,  in Greenfield Township (67560 154th Ave, Wabasha).
4) Public hearing on the application submitted by Rann Loppnow requesting to amend an existing variance from Chapter 4.02 (2) of the Wabasha County Zoning Ordinance for a secondary farm dwelling that is not a mobile home and with a permanent foundation. The subject property is Wabasha County parcel R01.00114.00 located in Section 13, Township 110 North, Range 14 West, in Chester Township (65628 386th Ave Lake City).
The public hearings will take place in the County Board Room, Courthouse Annex, 625 Jefferson Avenue, Wabasha, Minnesota.  Any interested person may provide testimony whether in person or by way of written comment submitted to the Wabasha Zoning Department. Written comments will be read into the record during the respective public hearing.
The applications are on file in the Wabasha County Zoning Department and may be reviewed between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Any questions regarding this matter should be directed to the Wabasha County Zoning Department.
