Wabasha County Board of Adjustment - May 12, 2026 Hearing

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
BEFORE THE
WABASHA COUNTY
BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
The Wabasha County Board of Adjustment will conduct public hearings starting at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12th, 2026 for the purpose of hearing evidence regarding the following requests:
1) Public hearing on the variance application submitted by Joe White requesting a variance from Wabasha County Zoning Ordinance 11.02 (1) to place a new structure within the Bluff Impact Zone (BIZ). The subject property is Wabasha County parcel R11.00106.00 and is located in Section 12, Township 111 North, Range 13 West of Mount Pleasant Township (72374 327th Ave., Lake City, MN 55041).
2) Public hearing on the variance application submitted by Steve & Shelley Jech requesting a variance from Wabasha County Ordinance Chapter 13.07 (3) (b) to place a structure  within the structural setback from the Ordinary High Water Level (OHWL). The subject property is Wabasha County parcel R05.01428.00 and is located in Section 2, Township 110 North, Range 10 West of Greenfield Township (67504 County Road 76, Wabasha, MN 55981).
3) Public hearing on the variance application submitted by Dan Zimmerman requesting a variance from Chapter 7.02 of the Wabasha County Zoning Ordinance to place an accessory structure within the required 10’ setback. The subject property is Wabasha County parcel R05.00719.00 and is located in Section 2, Township 110, Range 10 West of Greenfield Township (68056 County Road 76, Wabasha, MN 55981).
The public hearings will take place in the County Board Room, Courthouse Annex, 625 Jefferson Avenue, Wabasha, Minnesota.  Any interested person may provide testimony whether in person or by way of written comment submitted to the Wabasha Zoning Department.  Written comments will be read into the record during the respective public hearing.
The applications are on file in the Wabasha County Zoning Department and may be reviewed between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
