Wabasha County Board of Adjustment - Nov. 14 Hearings

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
BEFORE THE
WABASHA COUNTY
BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
The Wabasha County Board of Adjustment will conduct public hearings starting at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 14th, 2023 for the purpose of hearing evidence regarding the following requests:
1. Public hearing for the application submitted by Doug Stanton requesting a variance from Minnesota Statutes 394.36 Subd. 4 to expand a nonconforming structure by way of a 18’ x 20’ addition. The subject property is Wabasha County parcel R05.00003.00 located in Section 2, Township 110 North, Range 10 West of Greenfield Township (15634 679th St.).
2. Public Hearing for the application submitted by Mike Collins requesting a variance from Chapter 4.06 (1) of the Wabasha County Zoning Ordinance and Article II Section 2.05 of the Wabasha County Setback Ordinance to place a garage within the 50’ setback distance from the closest edge of the highway right-of-way. The subject property is Wabasha County parcel R17.00153.15 located in Section 31, Township 109 North, Range 13 West, of Zumbro Township (37243 County Road 11).
3. Public Hearing for the application submitted by West Newton Colony requesting a variance from Article IV, Section 3.0 of the Wabasha County SSTS Ordinance and Minnesota Statutes 7080.2270 subp. 3 to place an individual subsurface sewage treatment system within a floodplain. The subject property is Wabasha County parcel 10.00039.00 located in Section 9, Township 109 North, Range 9 West of Minneiska Township (11676 622nd St.).
4. Public Hearing for the application submitted by West Newton Colony requesting a variance from Article IV, Section 3.0 of the Wabasha County SSTS Ordinance and Minnesota Statutes 7080.2270 subp. 3 to place an individual subsurface sewage treatment system within a floodplain. The subject property is Wabasha County parcel 10.00039.00 located in Section 9, Township 109 North, Range 9 West of Minneiska Township (11568 622nd St.).
The public hearings will take place in the County Board Room, Courthouse Annex, 625 Jefferson Avenue, Wabasha, Minnesota. Any interested person may provide testimony whether in person or by way of written comment submitted to the Wabasha Zoning Department. Written comments will be read into the record during the respective public hearing.
The applications are on file in the Wabasha County Zoning Department and may be reviewed between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Any questions regarding this matter should be directed to the Wabasha County Zoning Department.
