ESTABLISHING THE
APPOINTED OFFICE
OF COUNTY RECORDER
Proposed Resolution No. [TBD]

WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute § 375A.1205 allows under certain circumstances each County Board of the State of Minnesota to fill the vacancy of an elected office of County Recorder by appointment; and

WHEREAS, the Wabasha County Board of Commissioners wishes to establish the appointed office of County Recorder; and  

WHEREAS, Wabasha County has posted a Proposed Resolution notifying the public of its intent to consider the issue once each week for two consecutive weeks in the official publication of the County; and

WHEREAS, following the publication and prior to formally adopting the resolution, the Wabasha County Board of Commissioners provided an opportunity at its next regular meeting to hold a public hearing and take public testimony relating to the issue; and

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Wabasha County Board of Commissioners has established the appointed office of County Recorder.
