Blowout win sends Tiger boys to first state tournament in five years
The Lake City Tiger boys basketball team is headed back to the state tournament for the first time in five seasons after the Tigers completed a dominant run through Section 1AA with an 80-56 blowout of Cannon Falls in the championship game last Thursday night at the Mayo Civic Center Arena.
One year after losing the section championship game in heartbreaking fashion, Lake City left little doubt who the top team was this season winning four section games by an average of 25 points and trailing for just 29 seconds total in the post season to date.
