Soccer boys suffer loss in season opener

Lake City Tiger boys soccer hosted the St. Charles Saints Aug. 23 and were defeated 7-2.
Lake City fell behind early and went into the break with a 5-1 deficit.
Lake City’s goals were contributed by Chris Lewis in the first half, assisted by Mitchel Medvec and Mitchel Medvec in the second half, assisted by Aidan Palmer.
Aaron Meincke had seven saves as goalkeeper for the Tigers.
This week the boy’s travel to Dover-Eyota Thursday and on Sept. 4 they host Red Wing.
