‘I plan to beat this!’: Basketball team supports band director in cancer fight

The Lake City Tiger boys basketball team recognized Lake City Tiger band director Paul Holland at its Coaches vs. Cancer fundraiser game on Jan. 24.

Coaches vs. Cancer is a national fundraiser conducted by basketball teams to raise money to fight cancer. Friday night’s event in Lake City raised $1,020 for the American Cancer Society.

Lake City teams also have a tradition of honoring someone diagnosed with cancer during the fundraiser.
