After 21 dog years, 5k9 walk/run returns May 13
Anytime Fitness and Lake Pepin Pet Clinic are sponsoring a second 5K9 walk/run to benefit the Hiawatha Animal Humane Society (HAHS) on Saturday, May 13.
The 5K9, a 5,000-meter walk/run with dogs, will begin and end at Anytime Fitness. The race starts at 7 a.m. Check-in begins at 6:30 a.m.
Forty-six human/dog teams participated in the first 5K9, in 2014. That year, Anytime Fitness and Lake Pepin Pet Clinic raised $1,195 for HAHS. This year, the goal is $2,000 and the plan is to make this an annual event.
