Alkire, Brown to join city council
Newly elected Amy Kohrs Alkire and Faye Brown are set to join the Lake City City Council when they meet on Monday, Jan. 14.
Alkire and Brown were elected in the November election along with incumbent Russell Boe.
The two newcomers will replace Greg Schreck and Randy Klipfel on the council. Schreck failed in his bid for re-election, while Klipfel did not seek another term.
They will join current council members Phil Gartner, Cindy McGrath, and Mary Lou Waltman, and Mayor Mark Nichols on the council.
