Ambulance service presents lifesaving awards stemming from two incidents

Emergency responders and a bystander were honored at the Lake City City Council meeting on April 14 for assisting Lake City Ambulance patients undergoing cardiac arrest.

“Paramedic Dave Kohs, EMT Sarah Muenkel, and Lake City Police Officer Aaron Foss were honored for their life saving efforts on Jan. 18 for a female found to be in cardiac arrest. They were able to successfully resuscitate the patient, with assistance from Wabasha County Sheriff’s Deputy Erik Rollie as well,” the Ambulance service said in an April 15 Facebook post.
