The Bluffs Corn Fest fund-raiser benefits Alzheimer’s Association

The Bluffs of Lake City hosted their second annual Corn Fest Fundraiser for the Alzheimer’s Association Aug. 8. Over 75 guests from the community attended the event. All proceeds raised from the event as well as the employee weekly donations will go towards finding a cure for Alzheimer’s.
The residents even helped plan the event as they husked all the corn on Monday evening, donated by Jim Schurhammer and John Dose. The Bluffs also served grilled hot dogs, potato salad, fruit salad and cookies. Musical entertainment was provided by Jim Sexton throughout the event as well.
