Book talk on WWI offered at public library Sept. 19

The Lake City Public Library invites the public to a book talk on the World War I pride and prejudice that divided people across Minnesota, particularly in the counties of Goodhue, Jackson, and Martin.
At 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, author and historian Frederick Johnson will discuss his knowledge of a wide range of primary sourced reports that detail attacks on German Americans and political rivals, convictions of treason, and use of martial law.
Johnson has written 12 books about Minnesota history along with numerous magazine articles in respected journals.
