City Arbor Day event is May 17
Lake City Public Works is inviting the public to an Arbor Day Tree Planting Event on Saturday, May 17, in The Jewel Subdivision where the city will be planting a variety of trees.
Everyone is invited to help.
The inexperienced can learn how to plant trees under the guidance of mentors, who will teach proper technique.
The event begins at 10 a.m. at the corner of Clubhouse Drive and Green Parkway.
People are encouraged to bring gloves and sun protection, if necessary. Bottled water will be provided.
