City creates tree advisory committee

The Lake City City Council has created a new subcommittee to advise the city on things tree-related.
A unanimous vote of the council appointed the following members to the new Lake City Forestry Advisory Committee: Charlotte Eastin, Bruce Wallerich, Kathy Kruger, Deirdre Flesche, Katie Himanga, Dean Flugstad, and Don Schwartz.
According to the council agenda, the idea for the committee grew out of a discussion at the February Streets and Parks Commission meeting.
