Clean Up Day is Oct. 17

Lake City residents can bring their unwanted disposables to Lake City Recycling Saturday, Oct 17. Clean Up Day is from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Residents pay a monthly fee on their utility bill for this service, which in a typical year includes two Clean Up Days. This year’s spring Clean Up Day was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

City Administrator Rob Keehn said the city pays for what is actually discarded during clean-up days, and the amount could be higher since there is just one day this year instead of two.
