Columbarium to be dedicated

First Lutheran Church of Lake City has completed the installation of a columbarium on its campus and will dedicate it at the 9 a.m. worship service this Sunday, Oct. 4.
A columbarium is a structure made to hold the ashes (cremains) of people who choose to be cremated after death.  The columbarium is made of concrete and faced with polished granite.  It contains 80 compartments, or niches, each of which can hold up to two urns.  Eickhof Columbaria of Crookston, Minn., designed and constructed the unit.
