Community garden thriving in pandemic

A season that began under a cloud of uncertainty has turned sunny for the Lake City Community Garden.

“We weren’t sure if it was going to fly because of the pandemic,” said Julie McDevitt, a member of the Community Garden Committee. “It’s working out great. I think it’s a real place of sanity.”

The garden sits on about an acre and a half of land just south of North 10th Street in Lake City.
