Contest seeks scarecrows inspired by storybook characters

This October the Friends of the Lake City Public Library will celebrate National Friends of the Library Week by sponsoring a Storybook Scarecrow Contest.
All families, friends, groups, businesses, neighbors, and individuals are invited to create scarecrow contestants that represent a book character or depict a book title.
The contest will take place during National Friends of the Library Week, Oct. 18-23.
