Corn Shredding Autumn Harvest Days are this weekend
The 19th annual Corn Shredding Autumn Harvest Days festival is Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Dwain Gerken farm, 64245 355th Avenue, Lake City.
The festival celebrates rural history with equipment demonstrations, displays, live music, children’s activities, vendors food, and the 37th annual Minnesota State Corn Husking Competition.
Mike Ohlhaber, one of the organizers, said that because of the festival’s size, people can get hands-on experience with equipment from days gone by.
