Corrected and Updated: More Fives needed to reach goal

The flow of contributions to Five for Food needs to pick up if the campaign is going to reach its $50,000 goal.

Five for Food uses contributions from sponsors to match donations of $5 or more to the Lake City Food Shelf.

With just over a week until the campaign was originally scheduled to end at the end of the month (the deadline has been extended to April 7), Five for Food Coordinator Bruce Carlstrom of the Greater Lake City Community Foundation said donations are about $35,000, about $15,000 shy of the $50,000 goal.
