Corrected: Bluff View bids farewell to retiring head custodian Rob Huppert
On his last full day of work at Bluff View Elementary School, head custodian Rob Huppert was told he was needed in the gym, so he went to meet with physical education teachers Joe Garvin and Kelly O’Laughlin.
The request wasn’t unusual. Over his 44-year career at Lake City Public Schools, Huppert was used to filling all sorts of requests.
“There was always something different almost every day—electrical, plumbing,” he said. “The teachers would always have some project.”
