Corrected: Events to take place despite Hwy. 61 work

The Lake City Chamber of Commerce has been fielding phone calls from people wondering if local events will go on as scheduled next year with the highway construction from spring into the fall.
The answer, virtually across the board, is yes.
“I have not heard of any events being cancelled as a result of construction,” Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Michelle Larson said. “As far as events its business as usual.”
