Council meets new Chamber director, approves tourism budget

Newly-hired Lake City Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Ed Hoffman greeted the Lake City City Council on his first day of work at the chamber.

“I’m really happy to be here,” Hoffman said during the public comment portion of the City Council meeting.

Everyone he’s worked with so far has been great, he said. “I’m just really excited to work with you all.”

As of last month, the Chamber is tasked with using the city’s lodging tax receipts to promote local tourism.
