Council salutes departing members
Phil Gartner and Jason DeVinny received key to the city plaques and their city council name placards at city hall Monday before the Lake City City Council meeting.
DeVinny was appointed in 2019 to fill a council vacancy created by the resignation of the late Mary Lou Waltman. He was seven votes shy of winning a full term on the council in the Nov. 3 general election.
At his final council meeting on Dec. 14, DeVinny said he hoped he left the seat better than when he found it.
