County seeing ‘record numbers’ of COVID-19 cases

We are seeing an increase of COVID-19 cases throughout Minnesota and the US.

Wabasha County has had over 70 new confirmed cases in the past five days.

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Minnesota Department of Health continue to report that the Omicron variant is expected to be more transmissible that those we have experienced previously in the pandemic. This now is showing to be consistent locally as the virus moves quickly through households and other congregate groups.
